BOOSTING BUSINESS INCOME
Every entrepreneur is interesting in boosting their business income. After all, that’s part of what being in business is all about. There are some who would say that the enjoyment of being your own boss is the primary reason for starting your own business, but the bottom line is that the business must turn a profit eventually or it cannot stay in business for long. Even though controlling expenses is important in having a positive cash flow, the fact remains that there must be business income in order to make a profit.
INCREASED SALES
Increased business income can be achieved by selling more of your product. You, of course want to increase your sales. That’s the reason for offering your product to the market. Utilizing the best possible marketing techniques to display, present, advertise or showcase the product you provide is the best way to increase sales. Ultimately, the more potential customers you can attract to your product, the more likely you are to make increased sales.
INCREASED PRICE
This method of boosting business income sounds like a good idea on the surface, but it can be self-defeating, so you will want to be very sure of your ground before raising your prices. You will need to do extensive market research to determine not only what the market is, but what your competitors are doing.
Generally speaking, if you are priced at the top end of the market for a particular product, the product will need to have other features that will be perceived by the customers as reasons for the higher price. While there are always people who believe that higher price indicates higher quality, there are also going to be those who will realize they can get the same quality for less money elsewhere. After all, Starbucks Coffee successfully charges more for their cup of coffee than anyone else in town. They do this through successful marketing of their product.
If, however, you have a product which is absolutely unique or substantially different than anything else on the market, you can probably get away with boosting your business income by charging higher prices. If you are first in the field, your product and price will be the benchmark by which others are measured.
INVESTING CAPITAL
A third way to increase business income is to put temporarily unneeded existing income to work for you. This is an indirect method of business income growth, but it works just as well as the first two. You will need to do the research to find the best vehicles to grow the business income; or, you can select a reputable financial advisor to do the investment for you. If you decide to use this method of growing business income, you need to make sure that your needed operating funds are still available to you. Only invest those funds which you will not need to access for whatever period of time your investment vehicle requires. In other words, if you will need to purchase a new vehicle for your business within 6 months, don’t invest the funds in a certificate of deposit which matures in twelve months.

What you need to sell info products!
Saturday, June 9th, 2007
There are a lot of people who would love to be able to create a cool informational product and be able to make a great living (even get rich) while sitting in a comfy chair in front of their computers knowing that never again would they have to drive in rush hour traffic with all those crazies or put up with an unrelenting, over zealous boss who never had and never would or could be pleased. What a beautiful vision! The truth is that that lovely vision can become a reality but you will have to pay your dues first. Successful niche markets for an informational product don’t grow on trees or fall out of the sky.
The first thing you need and must have to create an informational product is an idea…a subject…a topic…that will fill the needs, solve a problems, or just make life better for some particular and very specific segment of the general population. You are surrounded by ideas if you just look. Look at yourself first. What is your biggest problem? Do your friends share the problem? Are you passionate about a hobby or a sport? These kinds of things are the stuff of which informational products are made of. So the very first thing you need is to identify a topic and, thereby, a market.
Another thing that you need to have in order to create an informational product which will become successful is research. Every topic and every subject are not going to make money. Many of them will…but just as many will not. The best research is accomplished by reading and talking to people who have succeeded in niche marketing informational products. Savvy niche marketers can spot a great topic from forty paces with one eye shut. Ask. Read. Research.
When you have an idea and have done the research that has proven that there is a market for your informational product, the rest is just a matter of creating the product building a great website and advertising it.

Using Yellow Pages to Market Your Web Site
Saturday, June 9th, 2007
If you have a local business then you probably already have a business phone number. Most business phone services come with a listing in the local yellow pages. Be sure to list you web site address. This is much more powerful form of advertising then just placing your address and phone number.
Let’s take a look at how your business can use the Yellow Pages, even if you only have a web based business. First as a form of communications, it is always more professional to list a phone number on your site as a form of contact. You can always have a recording to take the call. But it makes people feel more comfortable when they can reach a human if they have questions or problems. Now with that business phone number you also get a listing in the yellow pages. This listing usually includes your business name, address and phone number and is place in a specific category. Not much for the client to go by. If you have an advertising budget, you could purchase a bigger ad and provide some more details about your business, but these are expensive, I have seen 1-inch column ads cost several hundreds of dollars and it only covered one area. If your business falls under several categories, you will need to place your advertising under multiple headings, again an added expense. Now if you have your web site listed in your listing, the reader can go to the web site and read all about your business.
Your web site can start by giving the reader a more warm and fussy feeling about you and your business. It can explain how long you have been in business, your background and experience. Who you have performed services for and even provide testimonials from some of your customers. Next you can provide information about common problems or issues that the reader may be of interest to the reader in the form of articles. While the reader is looking at the site, you can offer them a pamphlet on what your services are or on the article of the month etc, in the form of a newsletter. Maybe provide a free service or information when they sign up. Having a forum for them to post their problems is another great way to get their email and to build a good solid relationship. When you set up the forum require that they provide an email address and verify the address. Then they can post their questions, which of course you or other members of the forum will answer. Now that you have their email address you can send them additional information and notifications of specials or new products that they may be interested in. Some web sites send out notifications when they update the web site with new articles, which brings the reader back to the site again.
Your web site is the center of your business, whether you have a physical location or are strictly online. This is the only form of advertising that works 24 hours a day when the reader is actively looking for information related to your business. Linking your phone book listing to your site is the most cost effective use of the yellow pages you can have. Take advantage of it.
Remember your site can offer specials, gather email or contact information, give away items or gifts to your customers to get them to visit your store, tell the customer so much more than you could afford to do in the phone book itself. Plus many people will bookmark your site and return time and time again once they see all the great information that you have available on the site.

For my article I outlined 4 things
Warnings
Initial cleaning
Oils to use
Curing Process
With the outline I can begin to write.I find when I am writing a technical piece that it is best to ask myself questions.Such as why do an initial cleaning or how do I initially clean the Dutch oven? Then proceed to answer the questions. Each question becomes a new paragraph. So this article will have an opening paragraph that will provide an overview on curing a Dutch oven, 4 paragraphs or more on the actual process and a closing paragraph which sums up the process and maybe provides links to more information.
Nothing says you have to be an expert in order to write about a topic.Finding the information and putting it into your own words helps you understand it better and in many cases will help others as well.As a trainer I often found that just rephrasing a topic will help someone who has problems understanding it.
I know this seems like a lot of work, but lets take a minute and see how this article can be used. Some places it can be used are:
